Friday of the 3rd week of Lent
Gospel: Mark 12:28-34
In today’s Gospel, Jesus responds to the scribe by revealing the heart of God’s law: to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. The scribe recognizes the truth of this teaching, and Jesus tells him that he is “not far from the Kingdom of God.” Yet the Gospel subtly reminds us that being close is not the same as entering. Lent challenges us not to remain merely near the Kingdom through good understanding or sincere intentions, but to step fully into it through lived love. The Kingdom of God becomes real when love of God and love of neighbor shape our daily choices, relationships, and priorities. The invitation of Christ is not simply to admire the truth of the Kingdom, but to allow that truth to transform the whole direction of our lives. Let’s reflect: Lent is choosing to enter the Kingdom of God by living the commandment to love God completely and our neighbor sincerely.

Thursday of the 3rd week of Lent
Gospel: Luke 11:14-23In today’s Gospel, Jesus heals a man possessed by a mute spirit, and the crowd witnesses the power of God at work. Yet some refuse to recognize this divine action and try to explain it away. Jesus responds clearly: the Kingdom of God is present where the power of God liberates and restores. This Gospel reminds us that discipleship requires a clear choice. We cannot remain neutral. “Whoever is not with me is against me,” Jesus says, emphasizing that belonging to the Kingdom means standing with Him. During Lent, we are invited to examine where we truly stand in our daily decisions, attitudes, and loyalties. To stand with Jesus means allowing His truth to guide us, His mercy to transform us, and His mission to shape our lives. In choosing Him, we enter into the living reality of the Kingdom of God already at work among us. Let’s reflect: Lent is choosing to stand with Jesus so that our lives may belong fully to the Kingdom of God.

Środa trzeciego tygodnia Wielkiego Postu
Ewangelia: Mateusz 5:17-19 W dzisiejszej Ewangelii Jezus wyjaśnia, że nie przyszedł, aby znieść Prawo lub Proroków, ale aby je wypełnić. Prawo dane przez Mojżesza i słowa wypowiedziane przez proroków znajdują swoje prawdziwe znaczenie w Nim. To, co kiedyś wydawało się przykazaniami wyrytymi w kamieniu, teraz staje się żywą drogą ucieleśnioną w samym Chrystusie. Poprzez swoje życie, nauczanie i ofiarę Jezus objawia najgłębszy sens prawa Bożego: doprowadzenie ludzkości do relacji miłości, wierności i prawdy. W okresie Wielkiego Postu jesteśmy zaproszeni, aby wyjść poza czysto zewnętrzne przestrzeganie zasad i odkryć ich wypełnienie w naśladowaniu Chrystusa. Kiedy pozwalamy Jego obecności kształtować nasze wybory i postawy, prawo nie jest już ciężarem, ale przewodnikiem, który prowadzi nas do pełni życia, jakiej Bóg dla nas pragnie. Zastanówmy się: Wielki Post pozwala Chrystusowi wypełnić prawo Boże w nas, kształtując nasze życie zgodnie z Jego prawdą i miłością.

Wtorek trzeciego tygodnia Wielkiego Postu
Ewangelia: Mateusz 18:21-35 W dzisiejszej Ewangelii Jezus odpowiada na pytanie Piotra dotyczące przebaczenia przypowieścią, która ukazuje głębię Bożego miłosierdzia. Sługa, któremu wybaczono ogromny dług, odmawia wybaczenia niewielkiego długu, który ma wobec niego inny sługa. Poprzez ten kontrast Jezus pokazuje, że przebaczenie nie jest jedynie zewnętrznym gestem, ale postawą, która musi pochodzić „z serca”. My, którzy otrzymaliśmy niezmierzone miłosierdzie od Boga, nie możemy zamykać naszych serc na naszych braci i siostry. Wielki Post zachęca nas do zastanowienia się, czy nasze przebaczenie jest szczere, czy tylko powierzchowne. Prawdziwe pojednanie zaczyna się wtedy, gdy pozwalamy, aby miłosierdzie, które otrzymaliśmy od Boga, kształtowało naszą reakcję na innych. Przebaczać z serca oznacza przerwać cykl urazy i odzwierciedlać w naszych codziennych relacjach bezgraniczną miłosierdzie Ojca. Zastanówmy się: Wielki Post pozwala, aby miłosierdzie, które otrzymaliśmy od Boga, przemieniło nasze serca, tak abyśmy przebaczali innym szczerze i bezgranicznie.

Monday of the 3rd week of Lent
Saint Frances of Rome
Gospel: Luke 4:24-30In today’s Gospel, Jesus faces rejection in His own hometown of Nazareth. The people know Him well; they have grown up with Him, and yet this very familiarity becomes an obstacle. Instead of helping them recognize the presence of God in their midst, it blinds them. They expect God to act only according to their own desires and expectations. When Jesus reveals that God’s grace is wider than their limits, they close their hearts. This Gospel invites us to examine how our familiarity with divine realities, Scripture, prayer, the sacraments, can either open our eyes or quietly harden them. Lent calls us to allow this familiarity to deepen our awareness of God’s living presence rather than reduce Him to what we want to see. Like Saint Frances of Rome, who discovered God in the ordinary responsibilities of daily life, we are invited to remain humble and attentive, ready to recognize the Lord even where we least expect Him. Let’s reflect: Lent is opening our eyes beyond our expectations to recognize God’s living presence in our midst.
