Due to the Covid 19 epidemic, I waited a long time for permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines to issue a visa for me. And finally, I managed to get it, and then buying a ticket and the visa itself, went through without a problem. The journey was long, first, from Warsaw to Amsterdam, where I waited almost 6 hours for a flight to Manila, and this flight took about 15 hours. In Manila, at the airport, all passengers had to undergo testing on Covid 19. Which I did as required, then, after taking my luggage, I went for two days to a previously booked hotel designated by the government of the Philippines to wait for the test result. When I got to the hotel it was already 21.
The hotel also had Covid 19 regulations that had to be followed. Meals were brought to everyone’s door and the doorbell announced them. On the second day in the morning at 9 I got an email with my result, which was negative. I called Sister Klaudia so that she could pick me up because my result was negative, I also informed the hotel about it.
And thank God Sr. Klaudia picked me up from the hotel at 2 pm. So far I am getting to know work and surroundings.

I am very happy and thank God and the superiors of our Congregation for a year break in my mission work, I can go again to missionary work, this time not in Tanzania but in the Philippines in Manila. In the present time of pandemic, after a long wait and uncertainty whether I will get permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Manila for inssuance by the Embassy of the Philippines in Poland for a visa, I have obtained a written permission. After a few days, I was at the Embassy of the Philippines in Warsaw, I will collect my visa and special entry permit, and on November 12 I will fly to Manila and I will join Sr. M. Klaudia. Together we will conduct missionary works and apostolate among the poorest neighborhoods of Manila.
I am asking everyone to pray not only for themselves but for our missions in the Philippines that we may continue the missionary work of Kosiło and our Congregation.
I cordially greet all the mission friends with my prayers.
May the Name of the Lord be blessed now and forever!

“Let’s share the good! Let all of Poland, and even the world, unite in expressing gratitude for the life and sanctity of John Paul II “- this was the invitation to participate in the action All of Poland sings “Barca”, which is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Saint John Paul II
As sisters from the community in Brzezie, we received an invitation to perform Barka from Mrs. Aleksandra Gamrot – the conductor of the “Brzezie Choir” to sing our thanksgiving to God for the gift of such a wonderful man as the Holy Father John Paul II.
Full mobilization and a quick decision to YES to try to meet the challenge.
I immediately thought to prepare this song, more broadly inviting “Barka”, our sisters from Poland and abroad to perform.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 slowed down the pace of the project, but the hope that it will be possible, that I have to, that … why not try to sing together, though separately … it carried me, and here it is! Barka sang with heart and heart, solemnly and with emotion. I would just give Barka a different title: “Seriously Serious in Barka”
And today we can sincerely thank Mrs. Aleksandra, choir Conductor, in Brzezie our Polish and Tanzanian sisters for jointly creating a musical card for John Paul II
Thank you

Because, yes, everything is different this year – so there was no grave blessing in our cemetery. Nevertheless, we lit the lights on our sisters’ graves and prayed for them.
Brother Michael from the Franciscan Friars from the befriended monastery but Ebernach had cards of the sisters from Treis and our Convent in our chapel on the Klosterberg during the Holy Mass for every departed fellow sisters of the congregation.
He brought the following meditation text from Norbert M. Becker for this purpose:
God we entrust you with these sisters. Hold them tight in your arms!
Give them your mercy in the sheltering power of your rest.
God we entrust you with these sisters.
Give them healing of all wounds in the comforting power of your love.
Take them into your peace, give them new life in the glory of your kingdom.
God we entrust you with these sisters.
And we believe your loyalty and hope for the new life on their way to your joy.
Lord give all our departed sisters eternal life and let the perpetual light shine upon them.
Let them rest in your peace!

There is spread of Corona everywhere and all the restrictions spoken – yes it is to be taken seriously …
But there is also something else in this world –
Namely – a special day with the sisters in Cochem on the Klosterberg. Our sister M. Franziska today on October 28, 2020 is turning 95 years old. Unfortunately we did not have holy mass in the house, but we had the feast with the sisters with a word service in our beautiful chapel on the topic:
„Lord you know me –
You see me through to the bottom“
after Ps. 139 began.
Of course, the well-known and beloved songs like – Closer even closer to her heart became firmly established there too. Jesus pulled her in joy and pain … and Hail Queen song.
All of the sisters then enjoyed lunch in the refectory – the ice cream portions are particularly important.
When I asked Sister Franziska if she would be young again whether she would go to the Sisters of Mary again. Her answer to that, ‘“of course, Sister Superior – I know the sisters from home, because the Sisters of Mary were in Priestewitz and Sister Asisa once bandaged my arm. Yes, and because she helped me so well, she was always allowed to cut the flowers herself in our garden for the Mother of God in the church. Our whole family had a good relationship with Our Lady and the Sisters of Mary and that will last as long as we live.“
Sister Franziska is the oldest sister in the German Province and we are grateful that she lives here in our convent !!!
