Gospel – John 16:29-33
“In the world you will have trouble, but be brave: I have conquered the world”. We forget this Word of God many times. We are worried. We are disappointed. We are frustrated. We fail to be brave. This is where this Word of God must make transformation in our life. Jesus is the Savior. He saved us. This is not a myth. This is the reality. This salvation which Jesus Christ attained for the entire humanity is to be taken as a reality. Whatever news we see, we hear, we read, we must not get disappointed or frustrated, because Jesus Christ has saved this world. The salvation which Jesus Chris enacted to this word will come into action in its determinate time. The point that we don’t see the signs of that is the point where our faith is tested. Are we smart enough to understand the plan of God or not? Do we see more the troubles or we see the signs of a saved world? You can see signs of the saved world around you if you look the world around you with that eyes. The missionaries are visible signs of that. Whatever object of fear comes, whenever an object of fear comes, remember that Jesus has conquered the world. This victory of Jesus Christ can be experienced only through the action of the Holy Spirit. And the presence of Mother Mary in Fatima is such an action of the Holy Spirit. Let’s reflect: We need the Holy Spirit to continuously remind us that Jesus Christ has conquered the word.
