Thursday of the 4th week of Eastertide
First reading Acts 13:13-25
Easter is the radiant fulfillment of God’s unwavering promise—a promise spoken through the prophets, sealed in covenant with David, and now gloriously realized in Jesus, the long-awaited Savior. In the first reading from Acts, we hear Paul proclaim that God, ever faithful, has raised up Jesus from among David’s descendants, a sign that divine fidelity is stronger than time, sin, or death. John’s call to repentance prepared hearts to receive this gift, but it is the Resurrection that reveals its full majesty: Jesus is not only the promised one, He is the Risen Lord who opens for all humanity the path from repentance to redemption, from promise to fulfillment, from death to life. In the light of Easter, every prophecy finds its yes in Christ, and every soul is invited into the joy of a hope that does not disappoint. Let’s reflect: Easter is the fulfillment of God’s promise through the resurrection of Jesus, the long-awaited descendant of David, who brings salvation and new life to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith.
