Wednesday of the 7th week of Eastertide
Gospel John 17:11-19
“Consecrate them in the truth; your word is truth”. The prayer of Jesus Christ to the Father in these chapters helps us to understand what is the dream of Jesus about us. He wanted that we are consecrated in the truth. The truth of the love of God with is manifested in the Word. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. This is the Truth. Truth of God’s love. God became man and lived amongst us. This truth is what has to direct our life. Life of man with God among us is different. This difference is what we have to pratice by loving one another. This difference is what we have to take care by following the path of Jesus Christ. For this we need the Holy Spirit. Because with ourselves, we will not be united in the Truth of God’s love. In order to be united in the Truth of God’s love we need the Holy Spirit. Unity is that which consecrates us in the Truth of God’s love. For that we need the Holy Spirit. Let’s reflect: Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit so that we can be united in the Truth of God’s love.
