Gospel: John 3:1-8In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks to Nicodemus about a new birth, not of the flesh, but of the Spirit. “What is born of the Spirit is spirit.” This reveals that the Resurrection is not only something that happened to Christ, but something that must happen within us. To be born of the Spirit means to live a life transformed from within, no longer guided merely by human reasoning or habits, but by the unseen and life-giving presence of God. Like the wind that blows where it wills, the action of the Spirit cannot be controlled or fully understood, yet its effects are real and powerful. Saint Martin I, who remained faithful even in suffering, embodies this life of the Spirit, a life rooted not in external security, but in inner conviction and grace. During the Easter season, we are invited to open ourselves to this new birth, allowing the Spirit of the Risen Christ to shape our thoughts, our choices, and our entire way of living. Let’s reflect: Easter is allowing ourselves to be born of the Spirit and living a life transformed by the unseen presence of the Risen Christ.
