Mary, most beloved Mother, worthy of special love and the most beautiful in your love. It was God who first loved you so deeply, and you responded with your beautiful woman’s heart, full of tenderness, gentleness, and tender closeness. It is inconceivable how great God’s trust was that He entrusted Jesus, His beloved Son, to you. He entrusted Him to your hands and heart as a tiny, defenseless child. And you did not disappoint His trust. You surrounded Jesus with tenderness simply, ordinarily, naturally, because that is truly what your heart is like; there is nothing in it but love. Thank you, dearest Mother, for the naturalness, simplicity, and certainty of your love, that God Himself was not afraid to entrust to you the greatest treasure, Jesus. Please help me to look sincerely into my heart—what does it hide within? What flows from it? What do the words I speak say about my heart? Can the people whom God entrusts to me experience God’s love through my hands?
