Tuesday of the 5th week of Lent
Gospel: John 8:21-30In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks with clarity about His identity and His mission: everything He says and does flows from the Father. He does not act on His own, but in perfect communion with the One who sent Him. This unity becomes the foundation of faith, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He.” To believe in Jesus is not merely to accept a teaching, but to entrust ourselves to the One who perfectly reveals and accomplishes the will of the Father. During Lent, we are invited to deepen this faith, allowing our lives to be shaped by Christ as His life is shaped by the Father. When we believe in Him, we begin to align our own will with God’s will, discovering that true freedom and truth are found in this communion. Let’s reflect: Lent is believing in Jesus and aligning our will with the Father by following the One who perfectly lives His mission.
