On December 9, a gala ceremony was held at the Racibórz Cultural Center as part of the 23rd Monsignor Stefan Pieczka Days, during which the Unitas in Veritate medals were awarded. This distinction is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the local community and public life, and who embody the values of unity and truth through their attitude, actions, and commitment.
The “Unitas in Veritate” medal – meaning “Unity in Truth” – is a prestigious award whose purpose is to recognize those who, through their daily work, social, educational, or religious activities, contribute to the development of local communities and the formation of positive social attitudes. The awarding of the medal symbolizes not only recognition for specific achievements, but also emphasizes the importance of consistent action in accordance with moral and spiritual values.
By decision of the Chapter of the Monsignor Stefan Pieczka Medal, one of the honorees was Sister M. Paulina Szczepańczyk SMI. She received the award for her enormous contribution to spreading the cult of the Servant of God, Sister Dulcissima Hoffmann SMI, and for creating and strengthening the spiritual atmosphere in the Racibórz region, as mentioned in her laudation by Ms. Aleksandra Gamrot.
On behalf of the laureate, Sister Dr. Elżbieta Cińcio SMI expressed her gratitude for the award, emphasizing that Sister Paulina was very moved by the news of the award. Due to her health, Sister Paulina was unable to attend the ceremony in person, but she sent her heartfelt thanks for the recognition of her many years of service.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of local authorities, church circles, cultural institutions, and residents of the region. The Sisters of Mary Immaculate from the community in Racibórz and Brzezie, Racibórz, where Sister Paulina served for many years, also took part in the event. The gala was also an opportunity to reflect on the values that guided the life and ministry of Monsignor Stefan Pieczka – unity, truth, and responsibility for others.
At the end of the prestigious awards ceremony, the Mayor of Racibórz, Jacek Wojciechowicz, congratulated all the winners.
A wonderful highlight of the evening was a concert by musicians from Racibórz. The concert “E Lucevan le Stelle” was performed on stage by Tomasz Jedz and Arkadiusz Popławski.

Paulina Szczepańczyk SMI on this prestigious award, which is an expression of the community's gratitude for her many years of service, her dedication to the cause of the Servant of God Sister M. Dulcissima Hoffmann SMI, and her constant concern for the spiritual life of the residents and the promotion of spiritual and moral values.
