Gospel: Matthew 18:15-20In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us that reconciliation, unity, and prayer are inseparable. After encouraging His disciples to seek reconciliation with a brother or sister who has gone astray, He makes an extraordinary promise: “If two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” These words reveal how deeply God desires communion among His children. He loves us so much that whenever we are united in His love and seek His will together, He chooses to dwell in our midst. His presence is not simply a reward for unity; it is the very source that strengthens and perfects it. Prayer offered in love and mutual forgiveness has a special power because it reflects the communion of God’s own heart. Jane Frances de Chantal lived this spirit by building communities founded on charity, gentleness, and trust in God’s providence. The Gospel reminds us that authentic Christian life is never lived in isolation. Whenever we forgive, seek reconciliation, and gather in Christ’s name, we become a living place of His presence, where His grace is poured out abundantly and His will is accomplished. Let’s reflect: Do I foster unity and reconciliation so that Christ may truly dwell among us, making our shared prayer a living encounter with His presence and His love?
