Easter Tuesday
Gospel: John 20:11–18
In today’s Gospel, Mary Magdalene stands outside the tomb weeping, unable at first to recognize the Risen Lord who is standing before her. It is only when Jesus calls her by name that her eyes are opened and her sorrow is transformed into recognition and joy. This moment reveals that the Resurrection is not simply an event to be understood, but a relationship to be lived. The Risen Christ is not distant; He is present, personal, and calls each of us by name. Mary’s encounter shows that faith in the Resurrection is born not from seeing an empty tomb alone, but from meeting the living Lord. During the Easter season, we are invited to deepen this living relationship, to move from searching for signs to recognizing His voice in our lives. The Resurrection becomes real when we allow ourselves to be known, called, and sent by Him. Let’s reflect: Easter is allowing ourselves to be called by name by the Risen Christ and living in a personal relationship with Him.
