Saturday 11 May

Saturday 11 May

Saturday of the 6th week of Eastertide
Gospel – John 16:23-28
“I tell you most solemnly, anything you ask for from the Father he will grant in my name”. What a great assurance from Jesus Christ! The question is what to ask. But we know what to ask because Jesus said, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth”. Whatelse we want? We want that Spirit of Truth. We must ask to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, to grant us the Spirit of truth. We need the accompainment of the Holy Spirit in each moment of our life. Because if we don’t have the Holy Spirit we will miss the truth of the moment. The truth of the moment is the grace of the moment. In order to grab the grace of the moment, we need the assistance of the Holy Spirit. And that is what we have to constantly ask to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Let’s reflect: Let’s not forget to ask constantly the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

MEETINGS FOR ANIMATORS OF CHILDREN OF MARY AND NOT ONLY

MEETINGS FOR ANIMATORS OF CHILDREN OF MARY AND NOT ONLY

We rejoice and thank God for the fact that in the slowly passing 2023/2024 school year, we were able to return to the very old tradition of Marian meetings in Katowice.
S.M. Teresa Fatyga has responded to requests from several girls and animates monthly Bible and prayer meetings with them. The slowly growing number of participants shows the openness of young people to the Lord God and the desire for their own formation in faith and in community. At our religious house in Katowice, we want to give young people space to grow.

The theme of our last retreat this school year is: Mother, Who Knows Us….
We want to thank Mary that under her Gracious Gaze, listening to her Heart, we experienced many wonderful moments, met new people, meditated on God’s Word, which vividly and effectively touched our hearts and brought healing. Mary always leads most simply and quickly to Jesus. That is why it was with Her, Who knows us like no one else, that we passed the days of our lives. And looking to Her, we learned how to live with God and in God. This is the most important thing we could do for ourselves and others.
Together with Mary, we glorify Jesus for this time of our formation.

Friday 10 May

Friday 10 May

Friday of the 6th week of Eastertide
Saint John of Ávila, Priest, Doctor
Gospel – John 16:20-23
“I shall see you again, and your hearts will be full of joy, and that joy no one shall take from you”. In these words of Jesus we can see that it’s about heaven. When we are in heaven, no one can take away the joy from us. And also Jesus says, “When that day comes, you will not ask me any questions”. This is also about heaven because when we are in heaven, we will understand everything and we will not have any more questions. Our joy will be perfect and we will not have any questions. But this is not only about the heaven, but it’s also about our Christian life. Because our Christian life is a life with Jesus and when we are with Jesus we are in heaven. When we are with Jesus nothing can take away our joy. When we are with Jesus, our faith in Him, take away all the questions. These are day when we are praying and waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit makes the presence of Jesus Christ in our daily life and also gives us the grace of faith in Jesus Christ. Let’s reflect: Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit so that we can live in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Pilgrimage of children to Sr. Dulcissima

Pilgrimage of children to Sr. Dulcissima

On May 6 with a pilgrimage to the servant of God Sister Dulcissima came children from Marklowice, who for the first time received the Lord Jesus into their hearts. The children, accompanied by their parents, participated in Holy Mass in our chapel, which was celebrated by their parish priest, Father Jacek Moron.
In his homily, the priest referred to the day of Helen Hoffmann’s First Holy Communion and encouraged the children to make friends with the Lord Jesus, just as Helen did. At the request of the parish priest, I told our pilgrims several testimonies telling of the graces received through the intercession of Sister Dulcissima.
After Mass, we visited the memorial chamber and prayed at our sister’s grave. Commemorative photos and a mini picnic in our monastery garden rounded out the time for our pilgrims.
May the servant of God Sister Dulcissima help and guide all children to the Heart of Jesus.

The Ascension of the Lord
Gospel – Mark 16:15-20
“…he took his place”. In the today’s Gospel we read this. Jesus ascended into heaven. There at the right hand of God he took his place. Because the reality of incarnation did not change anything in the Trinity. The second person became man and accomplished His mission. This did not add or subtract anything in the Holy Trinity. The unity and integrity of the Holy Trinity remained the same. No one took His place. Nothing changed in Him that He cannot take His place. It’s the same Person in the Holy Trinity. These four words explain a lot about incarnation. This really happened and it happened without changing anything in the Holy Trinity. Here we have another important message which Jesus Christ leaves before ascending into heaven. That’s to go to the whole world and proclaim the Good News to all creation. Ascension is about the truth that the Good News is to all creation and to the whole world. Let’s reflect: Ascension assures the Good News to all creation in the whole world.
