Easter Saturday
Gospel: Mark 16:9–15In today’s Gospel, the Risen Jesus appears to His disciples and entrusts them with a mission: “Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation.” The Resurrection is not only the moment of our salvation; it is also the beginning of our mission. The disciples, who were once fearful and uncertain, are now sent as witnesses of what they have encountered. Easter is not meant to be contained within personal experience, it must be proclaimed, lived, and shared. The joy of being saved becomes the responsibility to announce salvation. During the Easter season, we are reminded that to encounter the Risen Christ is to be transformed into a messenger of His life. Our faith cannot remain passive; it moves outward, reaching others through our words, our actions, and our witness. In Christ, we are not only saved, we are sent. Let’s reflect: Easter is embracing the new life given by the Risen Christ and being sent to proclaim it through our lives.

Easter Friday
Gospel: John 21:1–14In today’s Gospel, the disciples return to their familiar work, yet despite their efforts, they catch nothing. It is in this moment of emptiness that the Risen Jesus stands on the shore, though they do not immediately recognize Him. Only when they listen to His word and experience the abundance that follows does the beloved disciple exclaim, “It is the Lord.” This recognition changes everything, failure becomes fruitfulness, confusion becomes clarity, and distance becomes communion. The presence of the Risen Christ transforms ordinary life from within. During the Easter season, we are invited to cultivate this awareness: Christ is often present in the very places we consider empty or routine. The challenge is not His absence, but our recognition. When we begin to see with the eyes of faith and respond to His word, our lives are filled with a new meaning, and we too can proclaim with certainty: “It is the Lord.” Let’s reflect: Easter is recognizing the presence of the Risen Christ in our ordinary lives and allowing His word to transform everything.

Gospel: Luke 24:35–48In today’s Gospel, the Risen Jesus stands in the midst of the disciples, yet their first reaction is fear and confusion. Even in His presence, they are troubled and filled with questions. Jesus gently invites them beyond doubt: He shows His wounds, eats before them, and opens their minds to understand the Scriptures. His presence is not meant to provoke endless questioning, but to bring peace and certainty. “Peace be with you,” He says, not as an idea, but as a reality. The Risen Christ Himself is the answer to every fear, every doubt, and every searching of the human heart. During the Easter season, we are invited to shift from questioning to recognizing, from analyzing to receiving. When Jesus stands in our midst, the deepest response is not to question more, but to encounter Him as the living answer who brings peace, meaning, and direction to our lives. Let’s reflect: Easter is welcoming the Risen Christ who stands in our midst as the living answer and allowing His presence to bring us peace.

Easter Wednesday
Gospel: Luke 24:13–35
In today’s Gospel, the two disciples walk to Emmaus with heavy hearts, unable to recognize that the Risen Jesus is walking beside them. Their eyes remain closed even as He explains the Scriptures, but everything changes at the table: “He took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them.” In that breaking, their eyes are opened, and they recognize Him. This moment reveals that the Resurrection becomes real not only in understanding, but in encounter, especially in the breaking of the bread. It is there that absence turns into presence, confusion into clarity, and sadness into joy. During the Easter season, we are invited to rediscover that the Risen Christ makes Himself known in this same way in our lives. Easter becomes a lived reality when we allow Him to meet us, nourish us, and reveal Himself in the breaking, where what is given and shared becomes the place of recognition. Let’s reflect: Easter is recognizing the Risen Christ in the breaking of the bread and allowing His presence to transform our journey.

Gospel: John 20:11–18
In today’s Gospel, Mary Magdalene stands outside the tomb weeping, unable at first to recognize the Risen Lord who is standing before her. It is only when Jesus calls her by name that her eyes are opened and her sorrow is transformed into recognition and joy. This moment reveals that the Resurrection is not simply an event to be understood, but a relationship to be lived. The Risen Christ is not distant; He is present, personal, and calls each of us by name. Mary’s encounter shows that faith in the Resurrection is born not from seeing an empty tomb alone, but from meeting the living Lord. During the Easter season, we are invited to deepen this living relationship, to move from searching for signs to recognizing His voice in our lives. The Resurrection becomes real when we allow ourselves to be known, called, and sent by Him. Let’s reflect: Easter is allowing ourselves to be called by name by the Risen Christ and living in a personal relationship with Him.

Easter Monday
Gospel: Matthew 28:8–15In today’s Gospel (Matthew 28:8–15), we see two contrasting responses to the Resurrection. The women, filled with fear and great joy, run to announce the truth, they have encountered the Risen Lord. At the same time, the guards, influenced by fear and self-interest, accept a false narrative to conceal what has truly happened. This contrast reveals a profound reality: selfish interests often attempt to silence or distort the truth. Yet the truth of the Resurrection cannot be contained. It is already alive, already moving ahead, “He goes before you into Galilee.” Galilee becomes the place of encounter, the place where truth is lived and recognized. During the Easter season, we are invited to examine our own hearts: do we allow fear or self-interest to cloud the truth, or do we run with joy to meet the Risen Christ? The truth of Christ is never static, it awaits us, calls us forward, and invites us into a living encounter beyond our limitations. Let’s reflect: Easter is choosing to leave behind fear and self-interest, and running toward the living truth of the Risen Christ who awaits us.
