We are at St. Joseph’s in Kalisz, every year we make a pilgrimage here. We remember before Him about the affairs of the Church, the congregation about the affairs of each of us.
Sisters “give your spiritual life to St. Joseph, He is an unfailing guide.” encourages us the Custos of the National Shrine in Kalisz.
He has great favor in heaven, He is the Father who protects those who flee to Him.
Greetings from Kalisz.

Every year – during Lent – I hold a contemplative hour for our residents in our senior center.
This time I took the opportunity to welcome our new facility manager Mr. Felix Angsten,
who starts on February 1, 2023
and our new nursing service manager Mrs. Maureen Nuppeney
who took over her duties on March 1, 2023, as the person responsible for our facility – under God’s blessing in prayer.
Many residents came to the chapel and so we prayed and sang for them and for each other – so that we can strengthen each other on our way.
Because together we are strong.
At a subsequent meeting in our refectory, we sisters greeted them once again and welcomed them.
Prayer
God, You have given us different gifts.
To no one did You give everything and to no one did You give nothing.
To each one you give a part.
Help us that we on our common way,
serve one another with that
with what You give to each one for the benefit of all.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We look forward to the common way
into the future.

On the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, February 24, a great prayer for peace and for Ukraine was held at the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome. The basilica was filled with people who wanted to pray together with Ukrainian representatives for the cessation of this war, as well as so many wars currently being waged in the world. Our community from the Generalate also took part in this joint prayer.
The choir from Ukraine poignantly sang a prayer for peace, the words of which read:
O, great, inimitable God, save our Ukraine!
Spread freedom and light for her with your rays.
With the light of science and knowledge enlighten us, Your children,
In pure love make us grow more and more.
We ask Thee, O One God,
Save our Ukraine, all Thy grace and generosity be to our nation.
Give freedom, give wisdom, give happiness to a good world,
Give serenity to Your people with hope for long life.

HISTORY OF THE GROUP OF ST. BAKITHA
The group started on 14/09/2022, with two daughters from the same family, Anna and Prisca.
After a few days on 25/09/2022 they increased and reached six young girls.
It is a group that aims to continue the Spirit of our Founder Father John Schneider, with the slogan “Have mercy on the problems of innumerable daughters” It was the order of our Founder Fr. John Schneider.
The intention is to help girls and women to recognize and believe in themselves, to know their worth, not to see themselves as a tool to be used by anyone as they wish.
They learn work skills such as sewing, cooking, and making Rosary and other things in order to rise their status and life style of living, which can help them to be independence and to avoid mentality of some of them to use their bodies for illegal trade.
It is called the group of St. Bakitha because we are comparing the life of slavery she was living St.Bakitha and then be freed to become a Nun and finally Saint, let us help our daughters who are taken as intellectual slaves by being deceived and abused by those who take them as an example of body trade. We teach them various jobs so that they can be independent and liberating them from bad thinking.

Even if all the sisters on the monastery hill are already
are old, yes, and precisely because we are old – we have time to pray and also time to celebrate. On the Day of Consecrated Life we celebrated Holy Mass with the Franciscans and afterwards it was a very nice get-together in our refectory…..
In gratitude for our vocation and for the good togetherness, Brother Michael gave each of us a rose and emphasized…we would be much poorer – if we did not know each other – it is something wonderful – that we have each other – may it remain so for a long time.
While drinking coffee we had very good conversations and shared many memories from all the meetings in the past years.
Yes – this afternoon has done us all good and we agree …
to use the next opportunity to meet again, to stay together on the path of discipleship.

Yes, good luck and many blessings we have wished on January 26th
we wished our Sister Judith on her 90th birthday.
Sister Judith has been living here in Cochem for 62 years – first in the old hospital on the Klosterberg , then in the new hospital in the Avollonstraße and since a few years again here on the Klosterberg.
Cochem is a small town where the Sisters of Mary simply belong.
This is because many Cochem residents were born on the Klosterberg and thus had and still have very early contact with the Sisters of Mary.
Sister Judith was active in nursing education for 35 years. So Provincial Superior and Superior – not unknown. Yes, and when one is known – congratulations are also sent. The District Administrator sent his congratulations along with the Mayor of the Association, Mr. Lambertz (a dear friend of our convent) – because Mr. Lambertz did not miss the opportunity to come in person to congratulate Sister Judith, to tell her story and to have a cup of coffee.
The mayor of the city, Mr. Schmitz, also personally brought his congratulations and many other people of Cochem congratulated Sister Judith.
In a small circle, Father Andreas Pohl, a Sacred Heart priest from the Maria Martental Monastery, celebrated Holy Mass with us in thanksgiving for Sister Judith`s life.
It was a special joy for Sister Judith that our former managing director Mr. Mohr and his wife came to the service and then drank coffee together with us Sisters.
Good Agathe – who has been connected with the Sisters of Cochem for over fifty years and is still loyal to us as a pensioner – was also present and as always… she baked the best cake there is and brought it with her.
A day full of joy and gratitude has come to an end.
We wish
SisterJudith
God’s blessing,
much courage and strength for her everyday life
and the certainty.
“The best is yet to come” !
