Openness to new perspectives

Openness to new perspectives

It is important to cultivate a mindset that appreciates and embraces ideas from others. This involves actively listening, considering alternative viewpoints, and being open to constructive criticism. By doing so, we can foster an environment that encourages collaboration and intellectual growth, leading to the development of stronger and more innovative ideas. Dismissing an idea solely based on the fact that it didn’t originate from oneself is an example of intellectual bias and a lack of openness to new perspectives. Ultimately, the worth of an idea should be determined by its content, feasibility, and potential impact, rather than whether it aligns with our personal preferences or ego.

Conflict is not bad

Conflict is not bad

Conflict is not bad. It is not inherently bad or negative. We must discover the positive potentials of conflicts rather going to the negative results. Conflicts can be an important catalyst for growth, change and even innovation. Conflict discovers its positive potentials when it fosters open communication, where diverse opinions can lead to better decision-making and problem-solving. Often when conflict is identified with one’s ego, it leads to damaging relationship and negative consequences. See the conflict as an opportunity for growth and embrace it with respect and willingness to find the best solution and not my solution.

Work

Work

Work is the source of transcendence. It’s more than a means of living. Work is the means to connect ourselves to something more than ourselves. It’s the means to connect our talents to something bigger than ourselves. It’s a means to participate in a higher mission that goes beyond the immediate tasks and responsibilities. This larger goal also encompasses a growth in sense of camaraderie with those sharing the purpose. It’s the means to bring out the best in us. It’s not you becoming work but work becoming a mission. A mission of transcendence.

Easter

Easter

Easter is not just a perspective, but it is reality that changed the course of human history. Easter is when the human mortality broke into eternity. Easter is when we found the key to human happiness irrespective of the situations around us or in us. Easter is when tears found its value by substituting the fear and anxiety with hope and joy. Easter is when our suffering becomes redemptive because it does not end in the Cross but at the dawn of resurrection. Easter is when human solitude comes to end with the infinite friendship of God.

Observance of values

Observance of values

Let’s not be happy only with the external observances of values but also internal attitudes. The external observances are important because it makes real changes in our life. Changes which have no life. Because the attitudes and thoughts are those which give life to the external observances. External observances devoid of interiority creates duality in us which is difficult to manage, often even clashes. But when the interior attitude guides the external observances, integrity grows and happiness sprouts.

Babel tower

Babel tower

Babel tower always inspires to make deep reflection about the desire of our pride filled ego. Our ego which wants to touch to the sky and to keep the whole world around us. We use our convenient concepts and opportune ideas to make this tower of our pride. Even though we know that sky is far away we keep trying to build this tower of ego up on the illusion that it’s very close. We convince others to contribute to building our pride-filled ego with invented necessities and fictitious proposals. Remember, this is a failed attempt, always failed. Our pride will only destroy us.
