Wednesday of the 5th week of Eastertide
Gospel: John 15:1-8In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals the intimate logic of the Resurrection: “Remain in me, as I remain in you.” The Risen Christ does not simply give life from a distance; He shares His very life with us, like the vine that nourishes its branches. This is the new existence born of Easter, a communion so real that apart from Him we can do nothing, but in Him we bear fruit that lasts. To remain in Christ is not passive; it is a conscious, daily abiding in His love, His word, and His presence. It means allowing His life to flow through us, shaping our thoughts, our choices, and our actions. The Resurrection is therefore not only an event to believe in, but a life to participate in. The more we remain in Him, the more His risen life becomes visible in us through love, patience, fidelity, and joy. During this Easter season, we are invited to deepen this union, knowing that fruitfulness in our lives is not the result of our effort alone, but of our communion with the living Christ who remains in us. Let’s reflect: Easter is remaining in the Risen Christ and allowing His life to flow through us so that we may bear lasting fruit.

I stand before you, Mary, to ask for your help in making my choices. The path of life is full of them—not only the big, decisive ones, but also the everyday, small, and ordinary ones that make up life. Sometimes it seems like there is too much of it, that things are too complicated or exhausting, that everything is overwhelming. And I don’t know what to think, what to do, or what to give up.
In moments of doubt or dilemma, especially on the paths of faith and daily love, spiritual life, or apostolic work—I want to look to you, whom they call the Mother of Good Counsel. You yourself are “Good Counsel,” for every moment of your life was spent listening to God’s will, pondering His plans and actions in your heart.
Intercede for me for good discernment—to understand what Jesus is inviting and encouraging me to do at this very moment—and help me to do what I come to understand. After all, your best advice is: “Do whatever Jesus tells you.” (Jn 2:5)

Tuesday of the 5th week of Eastertide
Gospel: John 14:27-31aIn today’s Gospel, Jesus offers a gift that flows directly from His Passion and Resurrection: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you.” The peace of Christ is not the absence of conflict or a fragile human agreement; it is the fruit of His total self-giving on the Cross. It is born from obedience to the Father, from love carried to the end, and from the victory of life over death. This is why it is different, because it passes through suffering and transforms it from within. The Risen Christ does not remove all storms, but He gives a peace that remains even in the midst of them. It is a peace rooted in trust, anchored in God’s fidelity, and sustained by His presence. During the Easter season, we are invited to receive this peace, not by seeking external security, but by entering into communion with Christ, whose sacrifice has opened for us a lasting and unshakable serenity of heart. Let’s reflect: Easter is receiving the peace born from Christ’s sacrifice and living in a communion that no trial can disturb.

Monday of the 5th week of Eastertide
Gospel: John 14:21-26In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals that love for Him opens the way to a deeper communion: “Anyone who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our home with him.” This is the inner meaning of the Resurrection, it is not only that Christ lives again, but that His risen life becomes a dwelling within us. Yet this new life unfolds through the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, who teaches, reminds, and makes present all that Jesus has said. Easter, therefore, is a time of waiting that is not empty, but full of expectation: waiting for the Spirit who actualizes the Resurrection in us. The Christian life becomes a living relationship, sustained by love, deepened by obedience, and illuminated by the Spirit. During this Easter season, we are invited to remain open, patient, and receptive, allowing the Holy Spirit to form within us the new life of the Risen Christ, so that God Himself may dwell and act in us. Let’s reflect: Easter is living the new life of the Risen Christ by remaining open to the Holy Spirit who makes God dwell within us.

“For in him he chose us before the foundation of the world, that we might be holy and blameless before him.” /Eph 1:4/
Mary, desired, beloved, and formed in the plan of God the Father. “You are all beautiful, Mary.” Thank you for responding to this calling simply and truly through your life. I thank you especially for not hesitating to accept God’s plan for you—and through you, for all of us.
Help me to believe and take to heart that God looks upon me with love, chooses me, and wants to be close to me in my daily life.
Can I accept this gift from God consciously? Have I already done so?
Mary, Daughter of God the Father—pray for us
