Unity of hearts is challenging because it is where my uniqueness meets the uniqueness of the other. Often the uniqueness of the other is presented as a threat to me. Especially if I fail to see the good in the uniqueness of the other which will enrich me. And there is no real unity if I fail to see the uniqueness in the other. So, this is challenge. Only the Spirit of God who is the cause of our uniqueness can bring the real unity where you see the uniqueness of the other and welcome it as complementing your uniqueness. Realize the need of the Spirit of God in between persons and make sure the presence of the Spirit of God in between you and the other for a perfect unity. Creating unity is creating heaven for you and for the other.

We all like appreciation. And sometimes we even long for that – a pat on the back. When desired and not achieved, we feel empty. An emptiness that comes from the craving for a pat or a word! Actually, by letting yourself to that feeling of emptiness, what are you doing? You are belittling your own hard work. Your efforts have an innate value of its own if done with conviction and love. When you yourself do not appreciate it and fill yourself with the emptiness created by the lack of appreciation from others, you are not doing justice to yourself. Learn to accomplish your task even the smallest one, with the conviction of its value and to see the difference it makes. You will not be haunted by your desire for a pat!

The key to collaboration is not always the understanding of everything. The key to collaboration with the Grace of God or with the good will of others is your heart and the longing of your heart to love and to contribute. It is desirable that you know everything but your obstinacy to know everything can ruin everything. Because in every situation there are lots of know and unknown factors present, some you can know, and you can never know. So, both your craving to know everything or the posturing that you know everything will ruin the web of collaboration and interaction. Grow in trust by giving space to unknow factors in each situation and enjoy the beauty of life.

Be happy about what you achieved and do not ruin it with the comparison of the achievements of others. See the achievements of others as complementing and not as juxtaposed. More as a continuation than as something different. There will be always possibility of betterment in what you did. But space for betterment is not the space of belittlement. You did what you could and make the mental space for accepting the novelties by others. This puts you in peace with the present than stuck up in the past with unhealthy sentiments of rivalry. It’s meaningless to make a competition between your past achievements and someone else’s present achievements. Synchronize your concepts with the present realities in harmony.

It’s important to have principles and ideals in our life. It gives you a sense of meaning and purpose in life. But be careful that our principles and ideals are not making the life of others difficult and tough. In other words, please, do not live your ideals at the expense of others. My principles and ideals should not determine the life of others. On the contrary, it should make the life of others easy. Let my principles and ideals liberate me from making restrictions for others.

Liberty is so beautiful. But the liberty is something you have to achieve within yourself first. It is achieved when you can detach yourself in each situation and see the situation realistically and reasonably. You liberate yourself above what is happening within you and around you. It is a result of a vision and discipline. Vision to find yourself and to realize yourself for the service of others. If it is not for others you can never liberate yourself. Then the discipline, to keep yourself in this track constantly and with perseverance. Sounds hard but a life without liberty is harder.
