Gospel: Luke 4:14-22
The Epiphany of the Lord continues as Jesus stands in the synagogue and proclaims the fulfillment of Scripture, revealing the concrete impact of His presence in human life. When Christ is revealed, the Good News reaches us precisely in our poverty, not only material, but interior poverty marked by fear, anxiety, and disappointment. Epiphany shows us a Savior who names these conditions and transforms them: liberty for those bound by fear, sight for those who cannot discern God’s will, dignity restored to hearts weighed down by loss. Jesus does not speak in abstraction; His words take flesh in real lives. To listen to Him is to allow truth to break into captivity and light to replace confusion. Epiphany, then, is not merely about seeing who Christ is, but about experiencing what His presence does, opening our lives to freedom, clarity, and hope. Let’s reflect: Epiphany is the living experience of Christ revealed as liberator and healer, whose presence brings good news to our poverty, freedom to our fears, and clarity to hearts seeking God’s will.
