Mary, Mother, God has called you to a constant readiness for the inner journey. A shift in perspective, an openness—to a new way of seeing reality, to different ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. When Jesus gave you to us as our Mother, he also wanted you to guide us in an ever more mature following of him, even on the inner paths of the mind and heart. Pope Leo XIV spoke these words to the participants of the International Mariological Congress on September 6, 2025: “The task of Marian theology is to foster in the entire People of God, above all, a readiness to ‘begin anew,’ with humility and courage, grounded in God, His Word, and the needs of our neighbor (cf. Lk 1:38–39); as well as the desire to move toward the unity that flows from the Holy Trinity, in order to bear witness to the world of the beauty of faith, the fruitfulness of love, and the prophecy of hope that never disappoints.” What do I need to truly seek the sources of a change in thinking in the Word of God and in the real needs of people? Do I think about what I need to change in order to perceive reality as God sees it? How can I learn to desire what He desires? The world so desperately needs the witness of people and communities of living faith, but the path toward unity is very demanding. It is by no means obvious whether we want to follow it consistently. Before we take action, an inner journey is necessary—a transformation of the heart. Mary, Mother of the inner journey, intercede for us that we may be ready to “start anew,” with humility and courage, just as God leads us in His Word.

They say that humility does not really mean thinking badly of oneself, but rather thinking less of oneself. You, Mary, are the most humble, because you do not think of yourself at all and you do not worry about yourself at all. For you, giving glory to God is self-evident when you sing from the depths of your joyful heart: “The Almighty has done great things for me.” For you, it is natural to give yourself in service when you simply say: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.” And you are consistent. You live entirely in God and for God, so you need not worry about yourself, because you constantly remember and trust that “your fate is in God’s hands.” Your humility has nothing to do with self-abasement. It is a quiet joy in the awareness of being small, because you know God and you know that it is precisely the small and the meek who are especially loved by Him. Often God also chooses them so that He may act in them and through them with complete freedom, according to His boundless love. Mary, humble Mother, remind us every day that we do not need to think so much of ourselves, because we are in God’s hands, desired and shaped by Him. This is our greatest value.

Być poświęconym w prawdzie oznacza należeć w pełni do Boga, pozwalając Jego słowu kształtować naszą tożsamość, nasze decyzje i naszą misję.

"A Prayer for Overcoming Distress and Adversity. Blessed Mother of our Savior, who in your Heart experienced immeasurable sorrow, grief, and fear so that you might sympathize with us, be to us always the holy Mother of Consolation amid all our cares, sufferings, and failures. May Your voice resound in our ears, for it is sweet and full of goodness, and Your words bring joy to the heart. Hear our plea and intercede for us before the Face of Your Son, so that from His Divine Heart, through Your intercession, streams of holy joy may flow upon us, the same joy that fills Your blessed Heart. Show us Your serene countenance, so that with Your help we may courageously endure all sorrows, hardships, and sufferings, and amidst them always preserve a living hope of eternal joy in heaven together with You and Your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever.
