Christmas Midnight Mass
Readings: Isaiah 9:1–6;Titus 2:11–14; Luke 2:1–14
At the stillness of Christmas night, the Word becomes flesh and history opens to light. Isaiah announces that a Son is given to us, not as an idea or a promise postponed, but as light for those who walked in darkness. Saint Paul proclaims that this light is grace, freely given, offered to all, powerful enough to save all. And in the Gospel, one word changes everything: “Today.” Salvation is no longer distant or symbolic; it is real, present, and happening now. God does not wait for a better moment, He enters our night as it is, fragile and human, to transform it from within. Christmas Midnight Mass celebrates this holy immediacy: the grace that shines now, the peace that is born now, the joy that begins now. In the quiet of Bethlehem, heaven touches earth, and time itself becomes the place where God chooses to dwell with us. Let’s reflect: Christmas is the moment when God’s saving light becomes real and present, when grace enters our “today,” illuminating our lives with the gift of Christ given for all.
